The mission of Kids Against Hunger with Liberty Health Net.      

Every hour of every day 12 children per minute die of starvation or malnutrition related diseases. Kids Against Hunger is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization whose mission is to end that tragedy. Kids Against Hunger packages and ships highly nutritious, life-saving meals to starving and malnourished children in developing countries and the United States.   The organization was founded in March 1999 by Richard Proudfit, a successful entrepreneur. In 1974 Richard volunteered on a medical mission to Honduras after Hurricane Fifi had ravaged that country.  Profoundly affected by the starvation he saw among the children there, he made a decision to commit his life and financial resources to solving the enormous problem of world hunger. His life’s work became clear to him – feed these starving children.



Kids Against Hunger is a nonprofit organization with the mission to significantly reduce the number of hungry children in the USA and to feed starving children throughout the world. This is being achieved by getting volunteers involved, and by setting up food packaging satellites in the USA, and through partnerships with humanitarian organizations worldwide - enabling Kids Against Hunger to deliver its specially formulated rice-soy casserole to starving children and their families in more than 40 countries. The Kids Against Hunger network currently includes over 50 food packaging satellites across the United States and one in Canada.

The Satellite location
Liberty Health Net is one of 31 satellite locations for Kids Against Hunger. Jim Price, the owner of Liberty Health Net donated space at the corporate office to house the satellite location of Kids Against Hunger.  Shelly Ferree, the president of Liberty Health Net was driven by her passion to meet the needs of children that are dying in droves from day to day.  She took the initiative of bringing a satellite to Lyons, GA.  Having been a veteran of referral marketing for many years, she realized that merging the Kids Against Hunger program with Liberty Health Net would harness the power of thousands of Distributors all aiding to eradicate hunger all over the world.   Liberty Health Net’s goal is to feed as many as possible as quickly as possible and to afford the opportunity for others to contribute their time and resources in the service of others.
